Chado - the way of tea is only possible with the right tools. The basis of a Japanese ceremony, as well as the green powder tea, is having the right utensils. The hand made Matcha bowls have been handed down from generation to generation in the land of the rising sun and are held in very high esteem as a traditonal status symbol. The heart of the ceremony is the Matcha Chasen which is used to whisk the tea. This is 105mm long, carefully made from bamboo and comes in its own box.
With these, generations of Japanese have prepared a cup of tea to welcome their guests. |
