This elegant original Japanese travel set is a must for all Chado fans.
The woven basket of dark bamboo has a brocade skirt in yellow with a purple lining. This is fastened with a black cord and bamboo stopper keeping all the untensils safely in place when on the move.
The basket contains a hand made Matcha bowl of brown stoneware with a transparent grey-blue glazing.
The small container made from wood shavings has a woven pattern and is used for transporting the Matcha tea.
The Matcha bamboo spoon is finer and shorter than a regular Matcha spoon enabling it to fit well together with the starched white linen cloth and wooden container in the Matcha bowl.
To round off this set, there is a small Matcha brush in a bamboo case which is safely attached to the travel basket cord.
All in all, the Chanoyu Travel Set is beautiful and well designed. The addition of an excellent Matcha tea, will give any Japanese Tea Ceremony lover the greatest pleasure. |
